For generations, The Wild Things have lived peacefully in The Wildlands, their homeland, which includes an assortment of vastly different regions. When the Tree of Life magically sprouted up in the heart and center, besides providing food, shade and shelter, it brought tranquility and bliss to the inhabitants, some who are natural enemies. The animals attributed their sudden peaceful co-existence to the tree, their touchstone. They were equally aware how precious the tree is in order to maintain their ideal way of life. They believe that their happiness, comfort and prosperity all come from their connection to it. In turn, they have given the tree their love and respect and have always protected it from harm.
